I'm sure someone here can help me find the name of this film...

I believe it is an independent film, possibly made in Britain.

What I remember of the plot:

The story involves an ambitious filmmaker, who hires a handsome young actor to start a relationship with a pretty girl. He plans out the entire relationship, with dramatic twists and turns. He begins to follow and film the girl (without her knowledge) with plans to turn the whole project into an award-winning film. She always feels like she's being watched, and fears the worst. Inevitably (and predictably) the actor ends up really falling for the girl; and when the truth comes out--things get ugly. As I recall, the girl and the guy come up with some brilliant scheme to con the filmmaker--leading him to believe that they will support the release of his film. But, in the end, I think the villain ends up dead and they get his money...

A scene that I remember:

The girl and the guy sneak into a hotel, and place a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door of an occupied room. Then, they find a phone, and order room-service (some really nice food). When the hotel staff drop off the food outside the door--the two grab it, and eat like kings. Then they are chased out of the place by a security guard.

Does this sound familiar to anyone???
I can't remember the title; but I would know it if I heard it.
